Evo jednog vodiča baš za 1,1/2,1 mašine
Hi Guys,
Just a quick guide for those who want Windows 10 on their MacPro1,1 (or 2,1). Here's what I did:
-Grab a Windows 10 ISO image, and create a USB installer with Rufus. Important: in Rufus, choose MBR, not GPT. This will make a Legacy installer (not a UEFI one).
-Put your HDD in a PC, and install Windows 10 from the USB. I advise to disconnect any other drives in the PC to avoid confusion and install errors. Also, in the Windows 10 install, press Shift+F10 to open a command prompt. Clean the disk with diskpart, and then let the installer create the necessary partitions.
-Once the install is finished, put the disk back in the Mac Pro and let it boot. (In theory, you can put it back after the first restart, but I haven't tried that)
-Let Windows automatically install the drivers. It will succeed, but you'll be missing the SMBus driver. Grab the Boot Camp 5.0 package from here:
support.apple.com/kb/dl1638?locale=en_US
-Go to BootCamp5.0.5033\BootCamp\Drivers\Apple, and extract AppleNullDriver64 with WinRAR.
-Install the SMBus driver via device manager (just point it to the correct folder)
-Also built-in speaker won't work. To fix this, extract \BootCamp5.0.5033\BootCamp\Drivers\RealTek\RealtekSetup and run setup.exe from there.
That's it.
Notes:
-If you create a UEFI-based installer with Rufus, and install Windows 10 in UEFI mode it won't boot on the Mac Pro. You won't see it after holding down the option key.
-Burning the ISO to a DVD won't work, you'll be stuck with the black screen where it will ask you to select boot mode, and your keyboard won't work.
-You can force the complete Boot Camp package to install. Just opening the setup.exe won't work (Not supported on this platform, etc.) But if you open an admin cmd and go to the BootCamp5.0.5033\BootCamp\Drivers\Apple folder and rum/install the BootCamp.msi package, it will install all the drivers and the control panel. Please note that this means you'll have 2008-2009 drivers instead of the ones that Windows installs automatically. This might cause some problems, so my suggestion is to avoid doing this if you don't mind not having the boot camp control panel and the brightness/media/volume keys working on your Apple Keyboard.
