Visoki dužnosnici Trumpove administracije slučajno su dodali glavnog urednika The Atlantica, Jeffreyja Goldberga, u Signal grupni chat u kojem su raspravljali o osjetljivim vojnim planovima SAD-a za zračne napade na Hutije u Jemenu. Chat je sadržavao operativne detalje poput ciljeva i naoružanja. Bijela kuća je potvrdila propust i pokrenula istragu, dok su kritičari incident nazvali velikim sigurnosnim neuspjehom i potencijalnim pravnim prekršajem.

* Sent it through a unauthorized, not-allowed, non-secure commercial platform
* With hardware you're not supposed to use for it
* Almost certainly from locations where they aren't allowed to have the discussion- you can't even bring a cell phone into the secure room (SCIF)
* Accidentally copied someone who was ABSOLUTELY not supposed to have access to the info
* Set it up for illegal destruction of records
They were supposed to:
* Use the correct hardware
* From the correct secure location (SCIF)
* With the correct secure software
* NOT SEND INFO TO SOMEONE WHO ISN'T ALLOWED TO ACCESS IT
* Archive information securely for the secure records”
Ako za ovakve stvari koriste Signal, koliko god on siguran i enkriptiran bio, što još rade mimo sigurnosnih protokola koji je standardiziran i u pravilnicima.
Jer kako neki kažu, zakoni/regule su zapisani krvlju.
